This paper intends to examine a group of Spanish metropolitan plans in order to get some insights about the objective of posing some basic criteria to the implementation of “good practices” in spatial, urban and metropolitan, planning. The analysis focuses on urban transport as a key factor not only for a sustainable mobility but also for a more efficient and balanced cities and regions.
